Catholic Intellectual Traditions Series Schedule
The Catholic Intellectual Traditions Series (CIT) purpose is to promote conversation and education around particular contributions of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition to the intellectual life of the university. This lecture series is presented in collaboration with Academic Affairs, Catholic Studies, the LAS Religion and Society Lecture Series, and University Ministry.
To mark the opening of DePaul's Monsignor Andrew J. McGowan Science Building, the Catholic Intellectual Tradition Series and the Environmental Sciences Program will co-sponsor a salon titled God, Nature, and Environmental Sustainability during the Spring Quarter.
2009 Presentations
Session One: "Representations of Creation" Thursday April 16th, 2009 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm in room 114/115/116 of Monroe Hall on the Lincoln Park campus.
It will be co-facilitated by Elena Boeck, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of History of Art and Architecture and James Montgomery, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of Environmental Science.

Session Two: "Understanding Creation and Sustainability in Theology and Science" Thursday May 7th, 2009 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm in room 315 of the Student Center on the Lincoln Park campus.
It will be co-facilited by Fr. John Haughey, S.J., Senior Research Fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center and Liam Heneghan, Ph.D., Professor of Environmental Science and co-Director for DePaul's Institute for Nature and Culture (INC).

Session Three: "Creation and Sustainability in Ethics, Spirituality, and Praxis" Thursday May 21st, 2009 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm in room 204 in McGowan South on the Lincoln Park campus.
It will be co-facilitated by Mark Potosnak, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Environmental Science and Fr. Robert Pawell, O.F.M., Program Director at St. Peter's in the Loop.
