Now organized within the Office of Mission and Values, the Special Events department helps design, produce and manage events that have a strategic impact for the university. They consult with colleges and departments by offering advice on such elements as budgets, venues, vendors, logistics and more. The goal is to help cultivate an event with a clear purpose that communicates specific messages to key audiences.
The events range from a Presidential Inauguration and employee recognition events such as the Distinguished Service Awards, 25 Year Club and Faculty and Staff picnic to the Grand Opening of the University Center of Chicago and Media Relations Faculty Recognition program.
