Christmas at DePaul

DePaul celebrated the Christmas season of 2007 in an extrodinary way, with a musical re-telling of the Christmas story. This production included a combined 200-person community choir and 50-piece DePaul student orchestra and was narrated by Carol Marin. Ms. Marin is the political columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, a reporter for NBC5 News and a contributor to WTTW's Chicago Tonight.

The performances took place at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lincoln Park. Unlike most Christmas productions in the city, there was no admission charge, instead a suggested donation was made to one of the St. Vincent de Paul parish-sponsored charities. The intention behind this event was to celebrate this joyous season together while ministering to those in need in the spirit of Vincent.
